First year male Blue Grosbeak

The rose-breasted grosbeaks are a regular visitor in the summer.  The have a melodic song that is similar to a robin.  More distinctive is the sound they make that is reminiscent of the squeak you hear when basketball sneakers are stopping and pivoting on the court.

Young 2nd year male Rose-breasted Grosbeak

You can tell this is a first year male by the red under his wings.  A female will have yellow under her wings.
